Designed specifically for the 2nd generation AirPort Express from Apple, the Air Mount Express is an elegant mounting solution. 
As with other H-Squared products, the Air Mount utlizes a flexible design that is sturdy yet unobtrusive. The slotted grips effortlessly hold your Airport Extreme or Time Capsule in place and the hidden stop prevents your base station from falling out. The specially-formulated recyclable acrylic looks like glass but is twenty times stronger and will provide a lifetime of service.

Whether it be the ceiling, the wall, the attic, or in the halls, the Air Mount series is versatile enough to meet your requirements. We include all of the necessary mounting hardware for most applications. There's even an optional VESA screw kit for mounting on the back of a monitor. 
The optional Horizontal Adapter allows you to mount you AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule on any horizontal surface as high as necessary. Perfect for when the ceiling is simply too high up or when horizontal mounting is preferred. 
Not using that USB port on the back of the Airport Extreme or Time Capsule? Choose the optional USB backlighting kit and light it up! The USB-powered clear, bright LED provides years of illumination at a fraction of the cost of other lighting techniques.

How does the Air Mount maximize my wireless range?
Like anything else with an antenna, the higher the antenna, the better the reception. The reason is simple. At higher elevations, there's less objects for the signal to travel through. Since most of the things we use on a regular basis are at a height convenient for us, having your base station at the same height would mean more objects for it to travel through to get to your computer. Each time the signal is degrading along the way which, in turn, affects speed and range. How much is dependent on what the objects are made of. Metals, for instance, have a significant impact on signal degradation- wood and sheetrock, somewhat less. Mounting your Airport Extreme or Time Capsule as high as possible will reduce signal degradation and increase your wireless range.

This was a common assumption when the new Airport Extreme (n) shipped in February of 2007. According to our tests and the tests of Apple itself, mounting the Airport Extreme has no significant impact on wireless range.Can Time Capsule be mounted vertically or upside-down?
Yes! The drives used by Time Capsule can be used in any orientation. Other products from Apple, such as the iMac, use the same drives in vertical orientation.What about heat dissipation?
Heat dissipation is especially critical for Time Capsule. After studying the design of the airflow and confirming the details with Apple, we're confident that the design of Air Mount and Air Mount TC will not restrict or hinder airflow in any way.Does the Air Mount have security locking features?
The design of the Air Mount allows you to mount your Airport Extreme or Time Capsule as high as possible- thereby making it fairly difficult to remove the product without a ladder. In the event that you need more security that that, we recommend securing the Airport Extreme or Time Capsule with the Kensington key lock kit available from Apple.
